Projects

How we work

Our projects usually encompass five different stages to realisation:

  1. Creation – explore the vision
  2. Germination – initial sketches
  3. Development – feasibility
  4. Build – we build
  5. Burn – we burn

The Aerozeppemotocopter Project

Secret Garden Party Festival 2010

Our biggest project to-date was a vast 50ft blimp set in the centre of the lake including a dancefloor and dj booth. Not only was the sculpture completely interactive, it also included the following:

  • Functioning water wheel
  • Bubble jet engines
  • Fireworks
  • flame effects
  • on-board pyrotechnics
  • 70 fire performers
  • 60 walkabout performers in two parades
  • rockets released from wires synchronised audio and lighting across 7 stages
  • 1000 LED balloons released from the inside
  • 200 lantern launch

Sketchup

From the preliminary illustrations, a working drawing was created using Sketchup to give a better idea of how the dimensions looked and the feasbility of the project.

Realisation

Once the design was agreed, we set about realising the project. This included building part of the project off site and some on site. We also had some parts of the design CNC cut.
